Iwan E. Hugentobler is one of the most prominent horse painters represented in 20th century Swiss poster art. He created many posters for equestrian events, but his talents also came in useful for this poster illustrating door-to-door transport organised by the Swiss Federal Railways - a rare depiction of a horse-drawn cart next to a cargo train.
