About this poster
In 1905, while apprenticing as a lithographer, Jakob Bollschweiler took part in a poster design competition for the tourism advertising office of the Grisons. His sister Emma modelled for him, although she said herself that she had trouble restraining her lively temperament to sit still for the sketch. To the delight of her brother, this poster won him first prize.
