The cigarette brand “Star“ launched by Philip Morris in the 1980s was promoted with a very large advertising budget. The unique selling proposition was the creative packaging design. Every month, new packaging designs came out and posters promoted the brand in an elaborate advertising campaign. No one knows quite for sure why the brand disappeared after just one year… The “Catch a Star” posters are hard to find and show the highly creative packaging designs.
