About this poster
The spectacular White Turf horse race on the frozen lake of St. Moritz had its 100th anniversary in 2007. The race course lies on a 50-cm layer of ice which can carry horses, cars and audiences. This famous poster created by Hugo Laubi in 1924 has become very rare and highly sought-after. Laubi beautifully conveys the dynamic energy of the two jockeys and horses racing over the ice, surrounded by the spectacular Engadine mountain scenery.
