About this poster
In Walter Herdeg’s photomontage for St. Moritz, a sporty woman in a swimsuit is seen from below, about to jump off the diving board, before a bright blue sky illuminated by a smiling sun. The intensive lighting and colour scheme are as characteristic as the sun design itself. This motif is the recurring hallmark of Herdeg’s St. Moritz posters and was registered with the Swiss Federal Agency for Intellectual Property, making it one of the earliest applications of corporate identity to a travel destination. Even in small format, this vintage poster for St. Moritz has a touch of nostalgia.
