The rare stone lithograph advertises discounted round trips with the Sitmar Line in the eastern Mediterranean and is signed with the signature Simonetti in 1925. Sitmar Cruises and its predecessor Sitmar Line were company names derived from the abbreviation for Società Italiana Trasporti Marittimi. Originally, SITMAR was an Italian shipping company founded by the Russian emigrant Alexandre Vlasov, but the company's headquarters were later moved to Monaco.
