Schwanden – Elm – Sernftal Railways
Artist: Artist unknown
Year: 1930
Size: 100 x 67 cm / 39.4 x 26.4″
About this poster
The Sernftal railway ran between Schwanden and Elm from 1905 to 1969 and was intended to make a significant contribution to the economic development of the Sernftal valley. The little red railway, which reliably defied the forces of nature, is not depicted on the lithograph, but rather the still very small and dreamy mountain village of Elm in the Glarus region in the 1930s. Rare colour lithograph by an unknown artist from 1930, a rarity.
