About this poster
Instant soups were first produced in the second half of the 19th century, which makes them one of the oldest types of instant meal. This typical 1950s poster advertised the soup products of the Carl Schuler food factory in Kreuzlingen, thanks to which the housewife could prepare a delicious dinner for her family in no time.

Rolf Gfeller was born in Bern in 1924. He apprenticed as a graphic designer and attended the school of applied arts in Zurich and then started working as a freelance graphic designer creating advertisements.
