Ferdinand AFFLERBACH-HEFTI was born in Basel in 1922 and studied graphic design at the Basel School of Desgin between 1938 and 1942. He then founded a graphic design studio together with his future wife Beatrice Hefti. They mostly designed commercial advertising for various consumer goods, the Swiss Tourism Board, the Basel Fair and many others.
