About this poster

Herbert Leupin’s posters have become icons of consumer goods marketing. The Basel graphic designer was also an illustrator, hyper-realist, collagist and brand designer as well as a moralist. The brilliant Roco canned food poster represents all of these characteristics. Unlike today, in 1944 empty cans were recycled because of resource scarcity caused by the war. The perfect lithograph is very rare.
