About this poster

Martin Peikert provoked astonishment with his amusing and lively posters for the Swiss tourist resorts. His bold designs made him one of the most popular designers of Swiss travel advertising in the 1940s and his posters still appeal to many collectors both in Switzerland and abroad. His posters convey a sense of joie de vivre, health and cheerfulness in subjects such as children and ladies. This unique vintage poster of a lady lounging in the winter sun of Pontresina is rare. A perfect stone lithograph from 1939.
