Über dieses Plakat
Chamonix lies at the foot of Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in Europe. It offers exciting winter sports activities such as skiing and the best climbing opportunities in summer. A large and sprawling town has developed around these activities, with a mixture of tall, modern buildings and old architecture. Chamonix became famous for the first ascent of Mont Blanc in 1786. The town later hosted the first Winter Olympics in 1924. This poster published by P.L.M. for the Olympic Games shows the ice rink that was built in Chamonix in 190
