About this poster
The Pizol ski and hiking area in the canton of St. Gallen, which was already famous at the time, was made more accessible with two mountain railways in the 1950s: two gondola lifts, one each from Bad Ragaz and Wangs, opened in 1954. In the first decade of the gondolas’ existence, this original poster by Fritz Schulthess attracted visitors keen on mountain air and hiking adventures to the Pizol region.
