About this poster

Emil Cardinaux was the greatest Swiss travel poster artist who creaated many beautiful and unique poster lithographies for tourism resorts, like this is one of three classics he created for the famous resort St. Moritz, representing a great impressionistic scene of a golfing party on the Samedan Golf within the impressive alpine panorama of the Engadine. Cardinaux had a special talent for landscapes that could easily pass for fine paintings; he never lost the painterly touch in all his graphic work which is clearly shown in all his resorts posters for Zermatt, St. Moritz or the Engadine.
