About this poster
Josef Müller-Brockmann designed typographic posters with geometric compositions. He is famous for his posters for cultural events, art exhibitions and environmental themes. Most of the posters he created in the mid-20th century won poster awards and are collectors' items for designers, publishers and advertisers who love Müller-Brockmann's avant-garde style of poster design. Some of them are exhibited in design and art museums in Europe and the USA. This 1971 poster for the Neue Zürcher Zeitung is another wonderful achievement by the great master of Swiss International Style.

Josef Müller-Brockmann, born in 1914 and died in 1996 in Switzerland
In 1930, he started a traineeship as a graphic designer which he quit in 1932. In 1934, he started working as a freelance designer and illustrator in Zurich.
