About this poster

To finance the upcoming 1939 national exhibition in Zurich, the inter-cantonal lottery was founded in 1937. This lovely poster with the red four-leaf clover and the ladybug was designed by Alois Carigie the same year to advertise the national lottery tickets. The “Swisslos” lottery cooperative still uses a four-leaf clover in some of its communication materials today.
