About this poster

Martin Peikert provoked astonishment with his amusing and lively posters for the tourist resorts of the Bernese Oberland. His bold designs made him one of the most popular designers of Swiss travel advertising and his posters still appeal to many collectors both in Switzerland and abroad. His legendary posters for the Bernese Oberland, Grindelwald, Mürren and the M.O.B. are among the most sought-after. This is a breath-taking view of Mürren and the snow-capped Jungfrau, Mönch and Eiger peaks with a romantic blue winter sky. It also features an ingenious use of typography with the Umlaut in the name Mürren being used to highlight the cable-car that brings travellers to the village. Very rare.
