Robert Combas (born 25 May 1957 in Lyon) is a French painter and sculptor. He lives and works in Paris. He is considered one of the masterminds of the figuration libre movement, which emerged in Paris around 1980 as a reaction to the art establishment in general and minimalism and conceptual art in particular. The motif for the poster for the 26th Montreux Jazz Festival is by Combas and is available in perfect original silkscreen from 1992.
