About this poster
This original poster advertised the Eritrean pavilion at the Milan International world’s fair in 1906. The pavilion included a recreation of a village in Eritrea, which at the time was an Italian colony. Besides showing products from Eritrea, it also housed about 100 Eritrean people and various animals, as this poster announces. The people were behind fences together with the animals, just like in a zoo.
