Max Bill was a student of the Bauhaus and one of the major Swiss proponents of concrete art, which emphasized geometrical abstraction. Concrete art first emerged in the 1930s and laid the foundations for the Swiss Style which was to become internationally renowned after 1945. Bill was a major figure in Swiss art and design history as an architect, artist, painter, typeface designer, industrial designer and graphic designer. He designed this original poster to advertise exhibitions of his own works in the United States in 1974 and 1975.
