This extraordinary, very rare original poster advertised a Savoy Hotel-themed carnival ball held in 1934 at the Tonhalle concert hall in St. Gallen. The evocative scene in black and white shows three elegant characters who look just like one might imagine the royal, rich and powerful guests at the famous London luxury hotel in the 1930s. The masked, bare-shouldered lady in her silk evening dress provides a striking contrast to the buttoned-up gentlemen next to her, highlighted even more by the green colouring of her dress and hair.
