In the 1950s, soup was considered a poor man's food and has always been blacklisted by children. But how did the story end? The soup saver paid for his refusal with his life - the soup is still available today and, especially in winter, office tigers still like to slurp it over lunchtime and in many posh pickles, a gourmet soup with delight.

Herbert LEUPIN was born in Beinwil am See in 1916. He lived in Basel and later in his life he moved to the Italian part of Switzerland, where he died in 1999.
