Set upon a red velvet cushion like an object of great value, this oversized bottle of Crux liqueur evidently stands up to the inspection of this discerning nobleman. The artist Mauzan, who worked in Italy, France and Buenos Aires, produced well over 2000 posters during the course of his long and successful career. Mauzan’s works are very imaginative and are characterised by his unique sense of humour.

Born in France, Mauzan would begin his life as an illustrator in Italy in 1909, working for Ricordi and other top notch printing firms.
