About this poster

Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Werner Jeker created many posters for cultural institutions in his hometown of Lausanne that subtly and masterfully integrated the text with an image from the advertised exhibition. This original poster advertised an exhibition with photography from 1920 to 1980. It shows the famous image of Jean Patchett that photographer Erwin Blumenfeld took for the cover of French Vogue in 1950.
