About this poster

This is a classic Art Deco design by Otto Baumberger: a picturesque view of Lake Lucerne with the snow-capped Alps in the background that instantly transports the viewer to a different world. The delicate image with its soft pastel colours creates a romantic and dreamy mood. A very rare and beautiful stone lithograph by the Zurich native Baumberger, who regarded himself primarily as a painter, creating posters merely to generate some income. Nevertheless, Baumberger produced a magnificent body of more than 200 posters, distinguished not by a single style, but by stylistic diversity - each perfectly suited to the clients' needs.
