About this poster

Kandersteg in the Bernese Oberland is framed by several three-thousand-metre peaks, which ensure that even in mild winters there are often favourable snow conditions. The valley is easily accessible by both rail and road thanks to its location on the Lötschberg mountain line. Kadersteg commissioned few amusing and lovely winter sports posters. This original vintage poster dates from 1947, from the time when winter sports were practised again after the war and the resorts began to advertise tourism again.
