For Jelmoli, one of Zurich’s largest department stores, the famous Zurich artist Otto Baumberger designed quite a few extraordinary posters. This very rare poster advertises the toy department of Jelmoli and was printed as a stone lithograph by the Lithoanstalt Wolfensberger in 1918. Rare.

Otto Baumberger was born in Zurich in 1889. He served an apprenticeship as a lithographer and took courses at the Zurich Art School (Kunstgewerbeschule) from 1905 to 1907.
