Born in Lyon in 1953, Louis Sclavis is a French clarinettist, saxophonist, bandleader and film composer. He is widely regarded as one of the important European instrumentalists, especially on the bass clarinet. The resounding red and green poster for the 1999 Willisau Jazz Days depicts the virtuosity of the musicians.
