About this poster
George Coleman, a US modern jazz tenor saxophonist born in Mephis Tennessee in 1935 who began his career as a jazz musician in the 1950s accompanying blues legend B.B. King and later contributed to the creation of legendary jazz albums alongside Miles Davis and Herbie Hancock. The announcement poster for the 1979 George Colemann Quartat concert was created in Niklaus Troxler's early graphic phase and is one of the most imaginative posters of his creative output for the Willisau Jazz Concerts.
