About this poster

One of the most impressive and best posters by graphic artist Niklaus Troxler, who initiated the Willisau Jazz Festival. The poster for the Don Pullen Quartet from 1978 is exhibited in the Moma and is highly motivating not only for jazz freaks. Don Gabriel Pullen (1941 - 1995) was an American jazz pianist and organist. Pullen developed a strikingly individual style in the course of his career. He composed pieces that ranged from blues to bebop to modern jazz. The great diversity of his work makes it difficult to pigeonhole his musical style.
