About this poster

A most exciting original poster by the initiator and graphic designer of the Willisau Jazz Festival for the 1982 concert with Arthur Murray Blythe (1940 - 2017). Blythe was an American jazz alto saxophonist and composer. The critic Chris Kelsey described him as "one of the most easily recognisable alto saxophone sounds in jazz" and furthermore as a border crosser between avant-garde and traditionalist jazz, often with bands in unusual line-ups. Rare.
