30 years ago, in spring 1993, the initiator of the Jazz Festival Willisau, together with some jazz musicians, dedicated the concert to the unforgettable Jimi Hendrix, who died in 1970. The unusual poster shows the outline of the great musician in pixels. James Marshall "Jimi" Hendrix (1942 - 1970) was an American guitarist, composer and singer who is considered one of the most important and influential guitarists because of his experimental and innovative style of playing the rock electric guitar. He had a lasting effect on the development of rock music.

Niklaus Toxler, born 1947, lives and works in Willisau, Lucerne.

He was trained in typography and graphic design at the art school in Lucerne; from 1967 to 1971 he worked as an art director in Paris; in 1973 he opened his studio for graphic design in Willisau, where he mainly works for cultural and music events, like the Willisau Jazz Festival, which he founded.
