Third Interrnational car and bicycle show, Geneva 1926. A great Art Deco poster by the Geneva's artist Jules Courvoisier showing a car-mascot. The first National car show in Geneva was in 1905. It stopped in 1907. Then in 1924 started the first International Motor Show in Geneva
Artist: Jules-Ami Courvoisier
Jules-Ami Courvoisier was born in La Chaux-de-Fonds in 1884 and died in Geneva in 1936. He was trained by the painter Charles l’Eplattenier and by Eugène Grasset in Paris. Courvoisier lived in Geneva from 1911. He often used black-and-white effects or just two colours in his posters to create an expressive, figurative design.
