About this poster
This is a famous 1950s photomontage poster by Hans Aeschbach to promote holidays in the Swiss Alps. The rope team of three mountain climbers symbolises the importance of employing a professional mountain guide in the sometimes dangerous Swiss Alps. Owing to the printing technique and the magnificent winter mountain landscape, this is a true document of the 1950s.

Hans AESCHBACH studied graphic design at the Zurich Kunstgewerbeschule from 1927 to 1931, then lived in Paris until 1934 and returned to Zurich to work as a free-lance graphic designer.
