About this poster

The innovative engineers of the precision engineering company E. Paillard & Cie., known for its film cameras, developed typewriters in 1914 which were marketed under the name HERMES. The Hermes Baby, produced around 1930, was especially appreciated by journalists and writers because it was portable and one of the smallest typewriters available. This compelling 1947 advertisement by the Basel master Leupin is one of the most sought-after object posters in Switzerland.
