Sunbathing started becoming very popular in the 1930s, and suntan lotion soon became recognised as a necessity. This original poster by the Zurich atelier of Paul O. Althaus shows, as many others do, an attractive sunbather instead of the advertised product itself. What is unique is that she is floating on the water on an inflatable mattress!
