About this poster
This summery, rare original 1930s poster was designed by the advertising agency of Paul O. Althaus to advertise the new “Hamol ultra” suntan lotion. Sunbathing came into fashion in the 1930s and along with it, so did suntan lotion and advertising for it. Many posters were designed showing an attractive sunbather instead of the product itself. What is unique about this one is that the lady is lying on an inflatable mattress on the water!
