Piero Fornasetti was born in Italy in 1913 and attended the Brera Academy in Milan, but was expelled from the school after two years. He worked as a painter and took part in various exhibitions, including the Triennale Milano. He spent the years from 1943 to 1946 in exile in Switzerland.
