About this poster
Like his the counterpart Raymond Savignac, Hervé Morvan was commissioned to create for the major French products and brands of the 1950s and 1960s. He began his career designing film posters, and once he moved into commercial advertising he created hundreds of posters. This eye-catching poster and very memorable image was also used on the Gitanes cigarette packs and won the prestigious Prix Martini in 1961.
