About this poster

“Aerodynamics” is one of six designs from the first multilingual poster series “Atoms for peace”, which Erik Nitsche created for the U.S. General Dynamics corporation on the occasion of the first International Conference on the Peaceful Uses of Atomic Energy, held in Geneva. Bearing the series slogan in German, this design represents technological progress in aviation; it shows the silhouette of the Convair B-36 “Peacemaker” long-range bomber, which General Dynamics produced at the time.
