About this poster
In the 1940s the renowned Basel graphic designer Herbert Leupin created advertising posters that remain unsurpassed in Switzerland in terms of humour, originality and effectiveness. This unique vintage poster from 1944 shows a railway signal giving the all-clear to a train travelling across a beautiful Alpine landscape. It advertises the Furka-Oberalp railway that connects Disentis with Brig via Andermatt and is a credit to Leupin as well as his client.
