About this poster
The St. Gallen Horticultural Association was founded in 1881 and still exists today. The association is dedicated to the care of fruit trees, berries and ornamental shrubs and to passing on practical and cultural knowledge about the care of these plants. It was probably in the early 1940s that the association commissioned this poster to advertise an exhibition on the various types of fruit, their origins and utilisation.
