About this poster
From 1926 to 1928, Pierre Fix-Masseau worked closely with the important French designer Cassandre. During this period, the design for the French State Railways was one of the most impressive and powerful posters in which Cassandre's design influence was obvious: with warm colors and a striking representation of the station clock as the train pulled in, the artist emphasized his message - in a font as streamlined as the design of the train itself (reprocuction of the 1932 poster).
