About this poster
In the early 20th century, the electric power company of the city of Zurich used unique advertising to promote heating with electricity. In silhouette style, the Zurich designer Max Kopp shows an old man in an armchair, about to plug the long cable of his electric heater into the socket before enjoying a hot cup of tea from his electric kettle. A humorous, historical advertisement from 1914.
