About this poster

Robert Frank (1924-2019) was a Swiss-American photographer, film director, cameraman and filmmaker of German-Jewish origin. With his most famous series, The Americans (1958), he revolutionised the aesthetics of the photo book. The Musée de l'Elysée (today: Photo Elysée Lausanne) dedicated an exhibition to Robert Frank in 1987, for which Werner Jeker designed the exhibition poster.
