About this poster
Davos has become famous as the host to the World Economic Forum, which takes place every year in January. At 1,560 meters (5,118 ft), it is the highest city in Europe, but also home to the largest ski resort in Switzerland. Other activities that can be enjoyed in Davos besides skiing are ice skating, swimming, tobogganing, curling and even sleighing. The “magic mountains” around Davos and Klosters include snow sports areas such as Jakobshorn, Weissfluhjoch, Parsenn, Pischa and Schatzalp.

Werner Weiskönig was born in 1907 in Chemnitz, Germany and lived in St. Gallen, Switzerland until his death in 1982. From 1924 to 1927 he studied applied arts in St. Gallen before continuing his studies from 1930 to 1931 at the Art Academy in Düsseldorf.
