Churwalden lies between Chur, the capital of the canton of Graubünden, and the more famous holiday resort of Lenzerheide. There is hardly any surviving poster advertising for Churwalden, which at the time was primarily known as a health resort. This very rare original 1936 poster by an unknown graphic artist is therefore all the more astonishing. The photographic design featuring a cheerful young lady promoted skiing holidays in Churwalden on behalf of the ‘L. Walty Ski School’ and was certainly highly modern for the time.
