About this poster
In the early 20th century, the Suchard chocolate company published a series of posters featuring views of famous Swiss travel destinations as well as lovely subjects. These were the first photographic posters in Switzerland, and particularly early at that, because photography did not experience wider use in poster advertising until the 1930s. The Suchard posters were printed using the photochrome process, which was invented at the Orell Füssli printing company in Zurich in the 1880s. Historic original poster and rare colour lithograph advertising Chocolat Suchard in 1910 with a charming scene.
