About this poster

This poster created by Cappiello in 1938 for the Mossant hat company is one of the most famous advertising images in the world. Showing the arms of three men simultaneously raising their hats in greeting, this unique poster is both elegant and humorous. The Mossant company was founded in 1860 and was known for the fabrication of high-quality hats for gentlemen; the most expensive ones were made of rabbit fur. The company was closed at the end of the 20th century, but the poster has become an icon of poster history.
