About this poster

The courageous pioneers of the Bürgenstock Resort, Franz Josef Bucher and Josef Durrer, made tourism history: in 1871 they bought the "Alp Tritt" on the ridge of the Bürgenberg, 500 metres above Lake Lucerne. They gave the hotel village the catchy name "Bürgenstock" and thus laid the foundation for a pearl of world renown - the Bürgenstock Resort. This historic poster of the Bürgenstock is a stone lithograph from 1898 and shows the Grand Hotel Bürgenstock, built in 1873, in the middle of a picturesque rural landscape above Lake Lucerne. Rarity and in very good condition.
